Art Gallery Exhibition Lighting Designers

For this project, our art gallery lighting designers provided creative solutions for the upcoming art exhibition featuring this year’s artist, Koo Jeong A.

Koo Jeong A, a mixed-media and installation artist, was born in South Korea and attended the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. This exhibit celebrates contemporary themes that correlate with artistic technique and teamwork. Koo Jeong A’s work is truly inspirational, and her unique vision and the themes that inspire her work will surely captivate and inspire visitors.

Our exhibition lighting design emphasises the intricate details of Koo Jeong A’s large-scale line drawings, ensuring each piece is displayed with optimal illumination. The contemporary art exhibition starts with a detailed drawing called “Civilising Process.” The subtle interplay of light and shadow enhances the visual impact of each contemporary artwork. Integrating adjustable lighting systems allows us to adapt the exhibition space to complement the varying intensities and textures, maintaining Koo Jeong A’s intended ambience and tone.

In addition to illuminating Koo Jeong A’s line drawings, our lighting design includes strategic spotlighting for her mixed-media installations. This technique highlights the textures and materials used, drawing attention to the depth and intricacy of each piece. By positioning the lights, we create focal points that guide the visitor’s gaze and enhance their appreciation of the artwork’s details.

Our art gallery lighting also incorporates a range of colour temperatures to complement the diverse materials and techniques in Koo Jeong A’s work. Warm lighting is used to bring out the rich tones in her installations, while cooler lights enhance her drawings’ crisp lines and details. This thoughtful combination of lighting strategies ensures that each artwork is presented in the best possible way.

Furthermore, this exhibition’s lighting design considers the need for flexibility. As Koo Jeong A’s pieces vary greatly in size and form, our adjustable lighting systems allow quick modifications to accommodate different setups. This adaptability ensures that every piece is showcased with the appropriate lighting, maintaining the integrity of the artist’s vision and providing a consistent viewing experience throughout this contemporary art exhibition.
